Tuesday, Feb. 28th

We’ll see how this goes. I thought that it might help if I were to write a few notes every couple of days on what I am doing. If people don’t find this useful or starts to read like a teenage diary I’ll probably just keep this strictly for annoucements. I will probably finally get to some overdue “info” e-mails and will get to the “orderstatus” e-mails that I have outstanding today. I will also being getting some paperwork together for tax season (which for companies is March 15, rather than April 15), finalizing the queue for the MMT deliveries, and inspecting the samples of the new Milsub date and 300 date dials.

The HA3 inserts should be in stock soon. They are at the engravers and then its off to the platers. I will post here when I know more about the status.

The stainless steel inserts are “in process” but no firm idea yet as to when they will be back in stock.

I will start posting some answers to some FAQs that I receive soon such “Will your parts fit on a 6105 Seiko?”

Hope everyone out there is having a good one.

QUAD10 Preview Function

The QUAD10 ordering page has now been updated with the preview function. Now it is possible to see what your QUAD10 will look like before completing your order.

QUAD10 Ordering page

Some of the limitation are similar to that of the MMT preview function. Specific limitations to the current version of the QUAD10 page are:

* Bead blasted case finish is not simulated
* Crystal appearance is not simulated

The red/black date wheel is listed on the site as an option now but the date wheels will not be in stock until mid-March.

E-mail auto-reply

Messages now sent to the “info” and “orderstatus” accounts will receive an auto-reply receipt. However if more than one message is received in a day you will only get one auto-reply receipt for the first message.

Made a mistake this morning with order status e-mails

If you sent an e-mail sometime on the 27th please re-send. I accidentally deleted some customer e-mails when cleaning out the SPAM before downloading the messages. Sorry about that.

MMT “Blackwater” Pre-Order FAQs

1. How do I know how much I owe? If you have pre-ordered your balance due is the total price of the watch based on the options you selected less the deposit you paid (either $120 or $132.50 depending upon when you submitted your deposit) and the pre-order discount of $45 (i.e. 10% of the retail of the base watch of $450). No payment is necessary at the time you place your final order. You will be invoiced for the balance due when your watch is ready to ship.

2. I am having trouble completing the checkout online. Unfortunately Mac users and people running old version of Windows or IE won’t be able to place the order online. It is recommended that you use either IE 6.0 or higher or Firefox when viewing the site. Browsers such as Netscape and Safari do not appear to be compatible with the online ordering system. If you do not have access to a computer running the recommended browers please submit a list of the options you want via e-mail and I will have to enter your order in manually.

3. What is happening with the fixed bar option? I am sending out a couple more cases from the mass production to the machine shop later this week. Once they have had a chance to try installing fixed bars into the cases I will post on this site whether this option will be feasible and what the costs/delays will be for this option.

4. Wasn’t there supposed to be a bracelet option? At this time I haven’t had the free time necessary to experiment with the various blasting media to see if I can replicate the proper finish to match the case bodies. I will work on this option after the pre-orders are largely shipped.

When will online ordering resume if I didn’t pre-order a MMT “Blackwater”?

If you did not pre-order a MMT “‘Blackwater” online ordering will be resume once the bezel inserts are delivered later this week and I have had a chance to inspect them. These are the last parts that I am waiting for. I don’t want to take any additional orders at this time until I am certain that supply/production of the parts will not cause any unforseen delays. Please check by here or on the main site for updates.

MMT “Blackwater” Deliveries

At this time the bezel inserts are due to ship to my on Monday. I should have the inserts in hand by the end of the week. Assuming that everything is okay I should be able to begin shipments of the first orders next week.

I will also generate some sort of list/method of letting pre-order customers where they are in the production schedule. I haven’t finalized this yet.
