Sea Fighter announcement postponed until next week

Sorry to be such a tease about this but parts for the watch keep coming in on time so rather than cause confusion by putting out a picture of a incomplete pre-production mock-up I should be able to post a pic of a complete mock-up next week. The custom made hands are in and the crowns are supposed to be here the beginning of next week. In addition I have to ship a number of customer orders before I leave for Basel so this will allow me to focus on completing orders. Hopefully this will mean that I will have time to do a proper announcement next week.

Pre-order Customers: Links up for Swiss Made Stingray

The ordering pages for the Swiss Made Stingrays are finally up and an e-mail notice has been sent to all pre-order customers. In case you do not receive this e-mail please note that there is not a new page for you to go to. The hidden pre-order page that I e-mailed about earlier this month has been updated with new links so please go to the that page to be re-directed to the Swiss Made Stingray ordering pages.

Stingray: Swiss Made option update

The ordering pages for the pre-order customers to reserve a Swiss Made Stingray have been completed and will be launched tomorrow after some final testing.

Stingray Update

For the pre-order customers the Swiss Made options will be posted in the next day or so. Sorry for the delay in getting these taken care of but I have been busy trying to finish the watch orders I need to ship before I leave. I want to get them done this week so that I can turn my attention to scheduling the Stingray pre-orders the first week of April.

Those customers that have already submitted the final configuration of their watch those sales orders have not been entered into the order status portal yet. I will e-mail you a copy of that sales order once I have a better idea of the scheduling. So please look for that e-mail with your PDF copy of the sales order the first week of April.

Please note that if you do not wish to pay the balance due on your pre-order at the time you submit the final configuration for your watch please select the “Invoice Me Later” option at checkout. Do not use the credit card option if you do not want to pay now. If you do use the credit card payment option your card will be billed immediately since the processing of card transactions is fully automated. If you want to pay with a credit card later on we will e-mail you a form that you can fax or mail in.

Status

I will be answering e-mails this afternoon. I apologize for the delay in getting back to people. I have been pre-occupied with the ice that came down last Friday and getting a number of watches prepared. I received a large order for some Seikos, all of which needed a full case work done and I am trying to get the case work out of the way as early as possible.

Orderstatus e-mails are up to date and all that I have received up until early Wedneday afternoon have been taken care of. I will continue with other e-mails Thursday.

Update for Stingray Pre-order Customers

For those of you that sent me an e-mail to my “orderstatus” account all of those e-mails that I have received have been answered. If you do not receive a reply please let me know by calling me so that we can figure out what may be wrong.

Stingray Pre-order pages and e-mail notice

For pre-order customers the link to the page where you can submit your orders has been e-mailed to the address you have on file. If you do not receive this e-mail please check your SPAM folder. If you still do not find that message please e-mail me at the “orderstatus” address as soon as possible or post a comment here. If you send me an e-mail and do not get an autoreply it will mean that either the e-mail didn’t reach me or you were not able to receive my reply.

Those customers that did not pre-order a preview page will go up later this week for you to take a look at and play with the options available.

March 11th: Upcoming Vacation

We will be away between April 11th through May 20th on vacation. I had considered shutting down the site while I am away but realized that there is a lot of maintenance that is long overdue…not to mention it might misinterpreted. Among other things we haven’t changed our prices in about 2 years despite numerous increases in the price of various components. The last day to submit orders with our “old” prices will be March 31st. From April 1st through May 14th the login/checkout functions on our site will be disabled so that we can make the changes and perform the updates we need to take care of.

While you will not be able to login/checkout between April 1st and May 14th the cart function will work so that you can continue to browse our site and price out future purchases/projects. However when you go to “checkout” or “login” you will be re-directed to an information page explaining that we aren’t taking orders at that time. Please note that between May 14th and May 21st we will not be able to process orders. If you place an order during that time you will receive a response after we are back on the 21st. Also between April 1st and May 14th the prices you see in the “Cart” may differ from those listed on the site because price changes do not propagate automatically throughout the entire site.

We should be able to answer e-mails while we are away if I should have any problems accessing e-mail I will post a note here on the blog.

As we work to ship our orders before we leave on the 10th please note that e-mails to our info account may go unanswered until after April 20th. We are currently running one week behind schedule which would be fine but we got a “late” order from one our dealers for custom Seikos that we need to fill before we leave.

March 4th: Stingray Update

The custom Stingray order page is almost ready. I just need to add a few more photos, some information, and to test the page. A order page for Swiss Made Stingrays will be ready a few days to a week after that. Pre-order customers can submit an order for a custom version or a Swiss Made version. The Swiss Made version will be less expensive and depending which of the two versions of the Swiss Made Stingray gets assembled first its likely that they will begin shipping at the same time the custom versions do. At this point I only have enough movements on hand to send one dial type to Switzerland for assembly. The second version will be sent for assembly in June when our next shipment of movements is due.

The pre-order has been officially closed due to high demand.

Poll: Handset for a new project>>>

I am in the middle of a watch that will take place of the QUAD10. I thought up an idea for the handset and wanted to get some feedback from customers. I will be purposefully vague but once you see the dial and handset posted in the link I think you will know what it will be.

Unfortunately I can’t provide too many details now but should be able to in about 2-3 months. In the meantime please take a minute or two and take the survey in the attached link (only 1 question). Thanks in advance for your input.
