Technically one doesn't need numbers on the bezel but they are helpful. There are a number of possible reasons for the omission but it was intentional. The watch that followed this one, the Ocean 2000, was also without any numbers on the bezel.

Brian,
Thanks for sharing the photo of the Bund; I couldn't find one to save my life. Can anybody explain the "blank bezel" to me? Is it used only as a minute count-down? Did they forget to put numbers on it? :-)

I'm stoked, this one looks really cool. Found this photo on the web, in case anyone's interested - the original Blancpain Bund from the 70s - http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2006-9/1211364/OriginalBlancpainBunddiver.jpg

This version will not be offered with a 3-H mark. This is being done for one primary reason....this version will be "too close" to the original if that mark were added (especially with the plastic insert planned). This might pose a risk that consumers may be confused as to whether they are buying a homage, which is what this is, or an original BP Fifty Fathoms.

Bill, Just curious, will the watch not be offered with the original aftermarket bund style dial you have previously had for sale (I'm refering to the 3h version currently on your site).
Thanks John
